The latest on the Gunners’ striker search and what is being said about Arsenal & Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko Too Pricey as Arsenal Shifts Gears
Arsenal fans are hoping to see Benjamin Sesko at the Emirates next season. But, it might be in for a letdown.
According to multiple reports and as per Bundesliga expert Christian Falk, the Gunners have stepped away from the chase for the RB Leipzig forward. The German side’s big price tag of €90m (£77.5m) has proved too steep for Arsenal to justify, despite initial interest. This comes as a blow, especially with earlier reports suggesting a strong push from North London for the Slovenian talent.
RB Leipzig are standing firm on their valuation. Additionally, Sesko is signing improved terms with the club. So, the chances of a Premier League move this summer appear slim.
Are YOU happy that #Arsenal have prioritised Viktor Gyökeres 🇸🇪 over Benjamin Šeško 🇸🇮 this summer?! 🤔💰

The Gunners Eye Goal Machine Gyokeres Instead
With the Sesko deal cooling off, Mikel Arteta has turned his attention to Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres. He is another striker making waves across Europe. Portuguese reports claim the Gunners are edging closer to an agreement for the Swede. There’s only a small fee gap left to close.
Gyokeres’ numbers speak for themselves. He had 67 goal contributions in 52 appearances this season. That compared to Sesko’s 27 in 45, it’s clear why the PL club is seriously considering the Sporting hitman.
While the Portuguese league is less demanding than the Bundesliga, the stats can’t be ignored. Gyokeres has established himself as a reliable goal threat. He could provide the key cutting edge at the head of Arsenal’s attack.
Although, the deal isn’t done yet. But, Arsenal are doing everything they can to get their man as quickly as possible. It will likely give Arteta the firepower he has been looking for. It will be interesting to see if the North London side manages to get their man this window.
