Luis Diaz’s Liverpool future has been up in the air since the summer transfer window first opened.
The attacker only has two years left on his current deal, and at the moment, the Reds are showing no signs of wanting to extend his stay.
Despite not wanting to give him a longer contract, Arne Slot still sees the Colombia international as an important part of his plans going into the 2025-26 campaign.

However, he may have had a spanner thrown into the works, as it looks like another team has entered the race for the transfer of Diaz.
Al-Nassr have now made an enquiry for Luis Diaz
Since the start of June, Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been the two teams vying for Diaz’s signature.
Both European giants see him as their dream candidate this summer, with his 25 goal contributions last season likely contributing to those thoughts.
However, as per a report from Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri, it seems like Al-Nassr have made an ‘enquiry’ regarding what it would take for a deal to be struck.
“Our friends at Anfield Agenda mentioned it, Al Nassr made initial approach to gauge Luis Diaz’s intentions,” he wrote via his personal X account.

“As mentioned Monday, Liverpool wants to keep their talented winger.”
Bayern Munich made Luis Diaz a contract offer until 2030
As mentioned, Bayern Munich have been one of the most-linked teams with a move for Diaz this summer.
The Bundesliga giants have already lost Leroy Sane this summer and are looking to bolster their attacking ranks to try and help out Harry Kane in any way possible.
And, as per a report from Florian Plettenberg, it seems like the German outfit are committed to offering him a deal until 2030.
“FC Bayern are prepared to offer Luis Diaz a contract until 2029 or 2030,” he wrote via his personal X account.
“Díaz remains willing to leave Liverpool if a suitable offer arrives and is aware of concrete interest from Bayern.
“At present, however, there is no agreement between Bayern and Díaz and no concrete negotiations between Bayern and Liverpool.
“Despite the rejected approaches, Díaz is still considered a potential candidate for sale. Liverpool are said to be expecting a fee of €70–80 million, depending on the buyer (Europe or Saudi Arabia).”

Of course, only time will tell what the future has in store for Diaz and Liverpool, but with the way things seem to be headed at Anfield at the moment, there’s not a chance that this saga will be levelling out any time soon.
Liverpool still need to recoup some of the money they’ve spent on new signings this summer; otherwise, things could start to go south rather quickly.
