German Clubs Unlikely to Land Havertz This Summer
Reports of **Arsenal**‘s Kai Havertz with a move back to the Bundesliga have created a stir among Gunners fans.
As per BBC Sport, several German clubs are considering the 26-year-old forward over the past two years. This comes after his injury-hit campaign in the 2024/25 season. He suffered a hamstring injury back in February. Due to that, he was out for the rest of the season. However, as per German journalist Christian Falk, a move back to Germany is not in works.
Speaking to CaughtOffside, Falk explained that only Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund can afford Havertz’s wages or transfer fee. So, no other Bundesliga club are keeping an eye on him. Even with 20 goal contributions last season, Havertz’s high value makes him an unrealistic target for most German sides.
Striker Focused on Arsenal Stay Despite Injury Setback
While rumours continue, Havertz looks fully committed to Arsenal. He has already returned to pre-season training. He is hoping to do well for Mikel Arteta’s squad this 2025/26 season.
The striker’s absence, due to injury was one of many injuries to affect the Gunners’ last title challenge. Arsenal finished just behind winners Liverpool. The lack of attacking threat was critical. Both Havertz and Bukayo Saka were absent from games at the time.
Arsenal had registered 17 fewer goals when compared to the PL champions. Their lack of attacking options highlights their need for fresh attacking options. They have already approached Sporting Lisbon regarding striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Meanwhile, Havertz’s fitness and firing is equally important. As it stands, there is are no serious links from Bundesliga clubs. But, watching his peers lift trophies can be a motivation for him.
