Wolves are accustomed to seeing their squad stripped to the bare bones by Fosun, but letting another crucial player leave would be the final straw.
Ahead of the summer transfer window, it was inevitable that Matheus Cunha was going to leave Wolves, joining Manchester United for £62.5 million.
Vitor Pereira also knew that clubs would be circling Rayan Ait-Nouri after his stellar campaign at wing-back, with the 24-year-old signing for Manchester City.
The departures of Cunha and Ait-Nouri have caused damage to the Wolves squad, as Pereira needs to replace 32 goal involvements from last season.
But while Wolves have captured Fer Lopez as their only incoming so far, fans will fear that another key player could exit Molineux before someone else joins.

Juventus are interested in Wolves midfielder Andre
Andre was one of the best defensive midfielders in the Premier League in 2024/25, excelling in England’s top flight after arriving in a £21 million transfer from Fluminense.
Dave Edwards labelled Andre as ‘indispensable‘ alongside Brazilian compatriot Joao Gomes, as he became the beating heart of the Wanderers’ engine room.
Pereira thinks Andre is Wolves’ most important asset, but as recent history suggests, reaching high levels at Molineux only attracts interest from elsewhere.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Champions League outfit Juventus have placed the 23-year-old on their radar in case Douglas Luiz leaves Turin.
Wolves fans will be hoping that nothing comes of their interest and their prized possession remains at the club. But with Fosun showing no hesitation in selling players for a big sum, supporters have every right to feel nervous.
Tottenham could damage Wolves by going for Douglas Luiz
Tottenham are looking to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest this summer. However, their £60 million move for the Englishman has been put on hold after the Reds felt they made an illegal approach.
Should they successfully capture Gibbs-White, however, then their next move will be to go for defensive midfielder Luiz.
As Juventus will only go for Andre if they sell Luiz, Wolves Premier League rivals capturing the former Aston Villa star could push him closer to the exit door at Molineux.
It is hoped that Andre commits himself to Pereira’s project, whose long-term ambition is to reach Europe, but perhaps the lure of Champions League football would be enough for him to leave.
As it stands, nobody knows how the player would react unless a bid is made, and hopefully, Juventus don’t act on their interest.
