Corinthians have decided to put Carlos Vinícius on hold, at least for now.
According to Globo Esporte, the striker was offered to the club after leaving Fulham as a free agent and even showed willingness to lower his demands to get the deal done. But the feeling hasn’t been mutual.
Instead, the club’s priority in this window is clear: sign at least one winger. That’s where efforts – and money – are being focused at the moment.
Vinícius hasn’t been ruled out completely. The door is still open, but only if things change later in the window.
Right now, Corinthians don’t want to stretch their wage bill for a centre-forward when they’re already struggling to find the funds to land a wide man.
Whether the former Fulham and Spurs forward comes back into the picture later on will depend on how the rest of the window plays out, but for now, he remains a free agent.
