Manchester United reportedly face a battle to sign Fiorentina striker Moise Kean following reports that Ruben Amorim's side are keeping tabs on the Italian. The chase for Bryan Mbeumo is ongoing after landing Matheus Cunha's signature but United are still looking to add an out-and-out striker to their ranks.

It was reported in The Athletic this week that the former Everton forward is a player of interest after he fired La Viola back into Europe with 19 goals in Serie A last season. However, fresh claims have emerged that not only are Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal lurking, but Raffaele Palladino's side are also considering offering him a new deal.

Kean is said to have a £45million (€52m) release clause which can be triggered until July 15 and it has been suggested by Gazzetta dello Sport [via Calciomercato] that the Saudi Arabian club are most advanced in negotiations.

The report states that Al-Hilal, who are managed by former Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi, have made contact with the 25-year-old in a bid to land the striker.

It adds that the future of Kean hinges on whether Victor Osimhen makes the move to the Middle East, with Galatasaray also interested in the striker, though it has been said that talks over his move to Turkey have 'stalled'.

Should the claim be believed, United have three days before the release clause becomes inactive - but there is a three-way battle to land Kean's services with Fiorentina and Al-Hilal pushing for his services.

But it is likely that there will be a fierce battle to land his signature, speaking to The Athletic previously, he said: "The prospects I have. Florence, as a city, believes in me and this has given me that little bit extra to improve and do well.

"I watched a few videos of Batistuta and (Luca) Toni when I joined.

"Florence has always been a big football town and this means a lot to me.

"The fans really take you into their hearts. They care about the jersey."
