Manchester United’s plans to sell big this summer are slowly going down the drain with each passing week.
Prior to the summer commencing, Ineos had ambitions to sell half the squad with reports claiming that ‘nobody was safe from the axe’.
This saw Ruben Amorim’s list of irreplaceable players just four names long, yet with pre-season now underway it looks as though all trespasses have been forgiven with the squad at almost full complement when Manchester United players returned to Carrington.
However, there were some absences, with United telling five players not to report back for team training, in a way creating the club’s own version of the ‘bomb squad’ which Chelsea made so popular last summer.
Of the five, Marcus Rashford has been in individual training at Carrington while he waits for a move, but none of the others have joined him yet. Now, one player’s potential move has taken a bizarre twist.

Juventus make offer for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho
Of the five exiled stars, it has been Jadon Sancho who has appeared closest to the exit doors this summer so far. The £72m man has been in talks with Juventus over personal terms which remain a big issue.
Sancho has rejected wage offers of around £180,000-a-week, and would demand £4.3m in a pay-out from United as Tutto Juve have reported.
However, now Gianluca Di Marzio has shared an update on this, revealing the figure that Juventus are offering for Sancho this summer.

The report claims that Sancho remains on Juventus’ mind as they have submitted an offer worth £8.6m plus another £4.3m in add-ons to sign the Englishman this summer.
Sancho cost United £72m and so this would represent a £63.4m loss for the club, around 88 per cent of the price that was paid out for the unwanted 25-year-old.
However, despite this being a potential bargain considering Sancho suits Italian football, now Juventus are reportedly eyeing up another United player.
Juventus target Marcus Rashford
While the Italians are looking to sign Sancho, they are also now being linked with another of United’s exiled five.
It comes according to The Sun, that Juventus have made Rashford their number one target this summer, with plans accelerating.
Juventus are big fans of Rashford and are desperate to sign the 27-year-old in time for pre-season, but there will be problems with this plan.
Rashford only wants Barcelona this summer, which has been made clear, so any other clubs will likely be made to wait until this isn’t a possibility anymore.

However, recent days have seen Barcelona make Rashford their top priority according to Florian Plettenberg and so all indications are that the Englishman will be heading to the Camp Nou this summer.
