This summer, Marcus Rashford is getting closer to joining Barcelona, but he has one condition of his possible suitors.

After a half-season loan to Aston Villa, where he flourished under Unai Emery and even regained his place in the England national squad, the 27-year-old has just returned to Old Trafford.

The English international has returned to Carrington despite being given extended time to leave in which he has been training on his own to gain fitness.

A move to Barcelona could be the perfect move for Rashford to make his name known again.

The 27-year-old had joined Aston Villa in the winter window on a deal until the end of the season, which includes an option to buy for £40m.

Rashford’s salary was the biggest obstacle to a long-term move to Villa Park because Villa saw it as unsustainable without Champions League play, which they just missed out on.

However, now there seem to be a stumbling block in the move.

As per Javi Miguel Club via X, Deco remains the main obstacle in the Rashford operation and there are still significant discrepancies in the Sporting Committee regarding the attacking reinforcement.

The priority now is on departures to free up salary space.

Lamine Yamal and Raphina of Barcelona are seen as amongst the best in the world giving Rashford plenty of competition upon his arrival

Robert Lewandowski has been putting up excellent numbers for the club as well.

Rashford is expected to depart Manchester United after 20 years, despite being the team’s golden boy, having progressed through the academy, advanced to the senior squad, and established himself as a vital member of the Red Devils.
