Exclusive: Big Jadon Sancho transfer bombshell that will leave Manchester United disappointed

TBR Football can exclusively confirm the latest around Napoli and their interest in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.

Manchester United are eager to offload Sancho after Chelsea opted to pay a penalty rather than take up their obligation to buy.

Meanwhile, Napoli are fresh from winning the Serie A title and are looking to strengthen their ranks in order to kick on next season.

The Partenopei have now made a decision on their pursuit of Sancho – and it looks like Man United are set to be disappointed once again.

Manchester United must find new Jadon Sancho lead as Napoli drop interest

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that Napoli, one of Jadon Sancho’s main suitors, have given up on the Manchester United winger.

Sancho was of interest to Napoli and they explored a deal but they baulked at his wages and did not think a deal was attainable.

“Napoli had a serious interest in Sancho,” Bailey exclusively confirmed to TBR Football.

“However, it was not workable with his wages and they have turned their attention to Noa Lang and Dan Ndoye.

“Also the fact they are working hard on Darwin Nunez – he is going to come in on big money too, so they could not hang around.”

How Napoli could disappoint Manchester United twice in quick succession

Not only have Man United lost a great lead for Sancho, but they are now also set to have one of their targets signed by Napoli instead.

The Partenopei have agreed terms with Lang, PSV Eindhoven’s Dutch star, and are also closing in on a move for Ndoye of Bologna.

Manchester United scouts highlighted Ndoye as someone who could play at right wing-back in a Ruben Amorim system.

However, Napoli are closing on Ndoye as they continue talks with Bologna – who they are also in talks with for central defender Sam Beukema.
