Some Leeds United fans have not been happy about how the club have gone about the transfer window. Many have made unfair comparisons with other newly-promoted clubs’ transfer windows.
Sunderland have been ambitious and spent big so far, spending £100million and taking some Leeds transfer targets in the process. The Black Cats swooped in and signed Habib Diarra when the Whites were hesitant to pay the eventual £30million.

The newly promoted side then snatched another Leeds target in Noah Sadiki. The midfielder said that he spoke with Leeds United before making his decision to join Sunderland.
“Actually, I only talked to the people from Sunderland, Frankfurt and Leeds, who had also made an offer. My choice for Sunderland is also a kind of bet with myself. I want to know how it feels to play in the best league in the world and see where I stand against better teams.”
Some fans are also frustrated that not enough business has been done to revamp the team.
QUIZ: Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?
Leeds United still in search of new striker
Despite signing Lukas Nmecha, sources around the club say a new striker is the priority.
It makes a lot of sense, given that last season, Joel Piroe was one of two first team players active in that position. Patrick Bamford barely featured, and for some reason, Farke never put his trust in the young Mateo Joseph.

Speaking of strikers, commentator Ian Darke has made a huge suggestion for Leeds to attempt to sign this summer. He thinks Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sorloth is a player the club could make a serious move for:
“Maybe Newcastle or Leeds, say Newcastle lost Isak, it is not the worst idea.” he said when discussing the Norwegian’s potential destination this summer.
“He will be on good money at Atletico for sure, and he is getting Champions League, but I am a bit surprised that, with the amount of money there is around the Premier League, that his figures have not tweaked somebody.”
Could Leeds actually tempt Alexander Sorloth?
It is unlikely that one of the best strikers in Europe leaves Atletico Madrid and Champions League football.
But crazier things have happened. As it stands, a move is unlikely and would be an outrageous suggestion. But this was the same reaction in 2020, when Leeds managed to sign Raphinha from Lille and Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia.
