Roma are pushing to get a deal over the line for Brighton and Hove Albion striker Evan Ferguson after he approved the move.
That’s according to Corriere dello Sport, who report that sporting director Frederic Massara is rushing to seal the deal for the striker.
The newspaper explains that Massara would like to finalise a move for Ferguson as soon as possible. They’ve been encouraged to do so after the Brighton man gave his approval to the transfer.
The Seagulls are now working on the terms of the deal, with reports elsewhere this week stating that it is likely to be a loan move.
Roma are determined to get the deal done as soon as possible as they want to beat competition from the likes of Atalanta. They’ve entered the race for the Brighton striker this week.
Corriere della Sera have some information on that front, explaining that Atalanta have entered the fray for the Brighton striker. They do, though, also say that he is close to joining Roma on loan. Whether that means Atalanta can’t get him remains to be seen.
The feeling in Italy, though, is that Roma are close to finalising a deal and pushing to get it done as soon as possible.
