Saturday Headlines: Isaiah Jackson Gets Paid

Good morning, BBN!

Another day in the offseason, and another former Kentucky Wildcats player secures an NBA contract. This time, it was Isaiah Jackson.

Jackson signed a 3-year, $21 million deal to return to the Indiana Pacers.

Free agent center Isaiah Jackson has agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal to return to the Indiana Pacers, CAA's Drew Morrison and Sam Rose tell ESPN. Pacers are excited about Jackson's development, return, and now lock in a young member of their core. pic.twitter.com/pHbAJB8Zyq

The replies are pretty short-sighted. Before Jackson got injured last year, he was showing some serious progress defensively and on the glass. While it was only five games, Jackson is still just 23 years old.

With the loss of Myles Turner, it’s important to invest in Jackson now and hopefully watch him grow into his potential with a bigger role next season.

Excited to see what he can do next year with this opportunity. Congrats, Isaiah!
