Roberto Firmino is a player who will live fondly in the memories of Liverpool fans for years to come.
The Brazilian formed an iconic trio with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah during his time with the club as he became one of the best false nines in the world.
Salah, Firmino and Mane were often some of the most difficult attackers to play against in the Premier League, with the trio often carrying Liverpool on their backs.
When Firmino left Liverpool back in 2023, he chose to follow the herd and make the move to Saudi Arabia.
And, while at the start of his time over there, things were going well, towards the end, they got worse and worse.

Now, however, it seems like he’s finally found where his next club is going to be.

Now that Firmino is 33 years old, it feels unlikely that he’s going to play in one of the top five leagues again.
During his last full season playing football, Firmino only managed to make 34 appearances while contributing to 16 goals.

However, as per a new report from Saudi Arabian journalist Raban Al-Safena, this hasn’t stopped Qatari side Al-Sadd from making a move for the attacker.
“Bobby Firmino has reached a final agreement with the Qatari club Al-Sadd,” he wrote via his personal X account.
“And the deal is in its final stages, paving the way for the official announcement.”
Why Roberto Firmino’s time in Saudi Arabia was somewhat topsy-turvy
After leaving Liverpool upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the 2022-23 season, Firmino chose to join Al-Ahli.
Things went rather smoothly during the 2023-24 season, with the attacker playing almost every game for the Saudi Arabian outfit.
In the 2024-25 season, however, things took a turn for the worse as, halfway through the campaign, despite being Al-Ahli’s captain, Firmino was de-registered from the squad.

However, this wasn’t because he was playing poorly, as he managed to contribute to 22 goals in just 31 games, but it was because they had too many foreign players among their ranks after signing Wenderson Galeno.
Now that he’s found a new team to ply his trade with, however, there is hope that he can get his career back on track and prove that there’s still a more than solid player within him.
