Everton will want to hear what Johan Bakayoko once said about his future, it’s not looking good

A position Everton are in desperate need of is a right winger this transfer window.

It has been suggested that Jack Harrison could return to Everton, but this hasn’t gone down well.

Everton fans don’t want Harrison back as the Toffees should no doubt be exploring an exciting option on the right.

This can be a part of The Friedkins’ ambitious project, and now, it seems like they are going the right way about it at Everton.

It’s been suggested that Everton want Johan Bakayoko, with the PSV winger exploring his options, but there appears to be a problem after past comments.

Everton have a problem in signing Johan Bakayoko this summer

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the hottest prospects available on the market now, and fans will be delighted to see Everton express interest.

His exploits have been shown in the Champions League, as the Belgian rocked Liverpool last season, as Bakayoko has been dubbed as ‘clinical’.

Bakayoko is clearly a high-calibre player, and if the Toffees were to pull off this signing, it would no doubt be lauded.

However, the deal won’t be straightforward in the slightest for David Moyes after what the winger said about his future in Eindhoven last campaign.

Speaking to Eindhoven’s Dagblad, the 22-year-old believes his ability deserves a spot in a Champions League team, as Bakayoko’s feelings on his future might steer away from Everton.

“If I were to leave Eindhoven, it would only be to a club that plays for the prizes just like PSV,” Bakayoko said.

“Becoming a champion is what I want. And win the Champions League. I have the qualities for that. I’m ready for the top. But PSV is also a top club, especially if many players from last season stay. And it’s nice here.”

What Romelu Lukaku said about Bakayoko gives Moyes answer at Everton

It will be a tricky signing to make, but one that The Friedkins shouldn’t give up on.

Although the Toffees can’t offer the benefits of the Champions League, Moyes can excite the winger with the new project at hand under the ownership.

The new stadium will be a contributing factor as well, as Bakayoko could become the face of what Everton are building.

More of the reason why Everton should continue to explore this deal is that Romelu Lukaku said Bakayoko will be better than him, and after the Belgian striker’s time on Merseyside, fans will know Bakayoko is the real deal.

Nevertheless, other clubs are lingering, but with just a £17m fee needing to be paid, Everton shouldn’t even take a second to submit a bid.
