How did Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence score in the first round of the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship?
Well, he will enter Day 2 at -18. However, the scoring format for this event isn't like normal golf tournaments. Being negative is not a good thing.

In this tournament, players are awarded--or subtracted points--based on what they score on a hole. For example, an eagle is worth six points, a birdie three points, and a par is one point.
On the flip side, a double bogey or worse is minus-two points.
So out of 90 golfers, Lawrence finds himself in 86th place. Leading the way is Joe Pavelski at a positive 23 points.
This is a three-round event, so Day 2 will be played on Saturday and then the final round on Sunday.
"I feel alright about my game," Lawrence said prior to Round 1. "Year 2 back here at Lake Tahoe; excited for it. Hoping to break that top 40, somewhere in the 30s. I don't think I'm going to catch any of those guys at the top of the leaderboard. I haven't been able to play as much as I wanted to this offseason, but it's all good, just going to have fun, hang out with the fans, and have a great weekend."
