Manchester United’s attacking department still needs a clinical finisher who can consistently provide goals at the highest level.
As such, United’s search for a new striker continues to take centre stage in the media.
Although another big-name striker is still anticipated, Ruben Amorim’s team is getting ready for a full preseason schedule in the hopes that new additions like Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon can propel them into at least the top half of the table.
Rasmus Hojlund has been linked to a move away in recent weeks with a number of Italian clubs looking to sign the Danish man.
Ruben Amorim will be eager to purchase a number nine with a tough season expected next year.

One name who has been heavily linked to the Red Devils for the striker position is Viktor Gyokeres.
After the latest reports, however, the Swedish striker is closing in on a move to Arsenal.
And now Gyokeres himself has come out discussing these rumours to the Premier League.
As per Fabrizio Romano via X, Viktor Gyokeres told L’Équipé that:
“I only think about scoring and winning. It changes everything.”
“Premier League? I spent several years there without being able to play a single match. So, of course, it’s something I’d like to do.”
“It would be great revenge!”

The Swedish attacker is one of Europe’s most sought-after prospects due to his phenomenal goal-scoring record, which includes 97 goals in 102 matches over two seasons.
Given that a prolific forward like Gyokeres might be a huge asset, United supporters will be closely monitoring the situation even though Arsenal appears to be the closest to acquiring the player.
United will be in the market looking for alternatives as their rivals Arsenal seem to be getting the Swedish star.
