Manchester United are in talks to sign two of the most talented young midfielders in English football, it has been claimed. Seth Ridgeon and Tyrese Noubissie are both reportedly considering offers from the Reds.

United's bid to sign Ridgeon and Noubissie is said to have been spearheaded by United's head of academy recruitment Luke Fedorenko and former director of academy Nick Cox. The approaches are part of a renewed drive to bring in some of the most skilled teenagers in British academies.

According to The Athletic, United are in negotiations to bring Ridgeon and Noubissie to the club this summer. Both players invited for tours of facilities at Old Trafford and Carrington, with Fedorenko and Cox leading talks. Head of player development and coaching Travis Binnion is among the other names said to be fronting up discussions.

But who are Ridgeon and Noubissie?

First, Fulham midfielder Ridgeon has impressed across the last couple of years. In fact, the 2008-born starlet has scored 10 goals and provided five assists in 27 appearances across the U18s Premier League, Premier League 2 and FA Youth Cup.

As well as this, Ridgeon is England Under 17s captain. He led the young Lions out at the U17 European Championship earlier this summer, though that ended in disappointment as they crashed out at the group phase.

A talented central midfielder, Ridgeon can also be used in a deeper and more advanced position. A ball-winner, Ridgeon is versatile and has a number of midfield qualities, both from a defensive and attacking persuasion.

As for Noubissie, he is another midfielder. The 16-year-old, son of former Swindon and Crewe star Patrick Noubissie, started his career in the Leicester City youth system. He spent six years at the Foxes and transitioned to the club's state-of-the-art Seagrave training centre before moving to Manchester City for £1million in 2023.

However, Noubissie has found his opportunities limited since making the switch to the Etihad Stadium. He is therefore reportedly expected to leave City this summer, with United tracking his progress and hoping to swoop in.

RB Leipzig and Strasbourg are among the other clubs said to be interested in Noubissie, who is eligible to play for Scotland, France, Cameroon and England but has stated his preference is to play for France.
