Leeds United boss Daniel Farke is desperate to sign a goalkeeper.
The German manager has targeted several new keepers this summer, having seemingly lost faith in last season’s number one Illan Meslier.
He hasn’t been able to get any deals over the line yet, with just over a month until the Premier League season kicks off.
However, there may be an opportunity for him to sign a Leeds target who is believed to be unhappy at his club.

Livakovic tells Fenerbahce that he wants to leave
Leeds expressed an interest in signing Dominik Livakovic as far back as 2023 and have been linked with the keeper on and off ever since, including this summer.

The Croatian goalkeeper was at Dinamo Zagreb at the time, but a deal couldn’t be agreed. He joined Fenerbahce that summer, around the same time that Farke was appointed at Leeds.
However, Turkish newspaper Takvim (11 July) reports that Livakovic has now asked to leave Fenerbahce.
The 30-year-old has lost his place as number one under Jose Mourinho and has reportedly demanded a move.
Considering his role as back-up keeper, Mourinho would likely accept a reasonable bid for Livakovic. He prefers Irfan Can Kahveci as his number one.
He was signed for around £6million, and it would likely cost a similar amount to tempt him to Elland Road.

Livakovic would be an impressive upgrade between the sticks
Livakovic has 66 caps for Croatia and is currently the first-choice goalkeeper for his country.
Livakovic was previously being targeted by Bayern Munich, although the German giants never went as far as bidding for him.
Needless to say, he has a ton of experience playing at the highest level and would be an impressive signing for Leeds.

Dominik Livakovic 2024-25 statistics
Farke would have no worries about Livakovic struggling with the pressure of playing in the Premier League. He’s 30 years old, and could easily be Leeds’ number one for the next few years. If he’s available for as little as £6m, Farke should be willing to drive the goalkeeper from Turkey to Leeds himself.
He simply has to sign a goalkeeper before Leeds host Everton in their first Premier League game on 18 August.
His public pursuit of several goalkeepers this summer may have destroyed Meslier’s confidence, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Frenchman was sold before the season starts.
