Over the years, there have been many players that have played for both Newcastle United and Manchester United.
One example is Nicky Butt transferred from Manchester United to Newcastle United in July 2004 for a fee of around £2.5 million.
Another example is from January 1995 when Andy Cole moved from Newcastle United to Manchester United in a then-record British transfer deal worth £7 million.
The transfer also included Keith Gillespie moving to Newcastle United.

In recent time have seen former Manchester United player Anthony Elanga make a £55 million move from Nottingham Forest to Newcastle United.
Elanga joined the senior squad in 2020 after rising through the Manchester United academy.
However, the Sweden international moved to Nottingham Forest for £15 million after making just 55 appearances in three years, recording four goals and four assists.
Now there has been yet another former Red Devils player to have joined the Magpies.
As per BBC Sport, Newcastle are set to sign former Manchester United defender Aoife Mannion on a free transfer.

Mannion has represented United 55 times since her arrival from Manchester City in the summer of 2021 and is a fully fledged Republic of Ireland international.
The defender signed a new contract in 2023 and went on to make several significant appearances during the 2023–24 season.
However none more so than the last 12 minutes at Wembley Stadium when Marc Skinner’s team won the FA Cup.
Following her return to the team the former Red Devil’s player was rewarded with two-year contract extension that would see the 29-year-old stay with United until June 2025.
However, the English giants decided against renewing her contract again and now she is set to join the Magpies as a free agent.
