This summer, Manchester United has been actively searching for a striker, and INEOS is committed to bolstering Ruben Amorim’s team’s firepower.

One significant move was the £62.5 million acquisition of Matheus Cunha; however, he is expected to play as a number 10 in Ruben Amorim’s system.

Talks are ongoing for Bryan Mbeumo but the Red Devils still want a specialised number nine.

After missing out on Liam Delap and now are set to miss on Viktor Gyokeres, United are looking at numerous altneratives.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike has emerged as a serious option after scoring 15 goals and registering eight assists in 33 appearances last season.

After a poor loan stint at the French powerhouse, the 22-year-old France U21 international paid £14 million to join Frankfurt permanently from PSG, and he has since revitalised his career in the Bundesliga.

Frankfurt, on the other hand, are not immediately under pressure to sell Ekitike because they are in a great financial situation after Omar Marmoush moved to Manchester City for £63 million in January.

Now, the German club have made their stance clear on the striker’s future.

As per Plettigoal via X, Eintracht Frankfurt would like to keep Hugo Ekitike to be well prepared for the Champions League but are expecting offers this month.

The tweet also mentions that Manchester United are still in the race.

Given the present inflated market and the fact that he has two years left on his current contract, Frankfurt is likely to demand a premium for one of their top performers of around £86 million pounds.

Given the Red Devil’s desperate need for a clinical goalscorer upfront, Ekitike could be a great option despite his price tag giving them a potential future star.
