Manchester United reportedly remain interested in Hugo Ekitike as Eintracht Frankfurt brace for offers this month. The France under-21 is said to be attracting Premier League interest after emerging as a hot prospect in the Bundesliga.
It has been claimed that Ruben Amorim's side are among the top-flight clubs eyeing the services of the former Paris Saint-Germain talisman, but face competition from their rivals with Liverpool and Newcastle United in the hunt. Sky Sport Germany's Florian Plettenberg has suggested that the German club want to keep the £84 million-rated Ekitike as they gear up for their first Champions League campaign since the 2022/23 season.
Although, it was previously reported that Chelsea were among the possible suitors with some outlets going as far to suggest that the Stamford Bridge club were leading the chase for his signature.
However, the reporter has claimed that since Joao Pedro made the cross-Premier League move from Brighton & Hove Albion, a move to London for Ekitike is unlikely.
In a tweet, he said: "Eintracht Frankfurt would like to keep Hugo #Ekitike, also to be well prepared for the Champions League.
"However, Eintracht are expecting offers this month. Liverpool remain a concrete option.
"Newcastle have renewed their interest. Manchester United still there. Chelsea are currently unlikely due to the transfer of João Pedro.

"How will the poker end?"
Frankfurt are becoming renowned for being tough negotiators when it comes to striking deals, and it was evidenced in their sale of Randal Kolo Muani to PSG for £76million.
The bubbling saga for Ekitike might not be different, and Die Adler's sporting director Markus Krosche hasn't minced his words about the possible sale of the Frenchman.
"If the price isn’t right, then he’ll just stay with us," he said.
"We don’t have to sell Hugo.”
