Manchester United’s pre-season has just suffered a major blow as Andre Onana has been ruled out of the US tour through injury.
This summer United have been tentatively looking for a replacement for Onana, given his problematic two season between the sticks at Old Traffrd, being a factor behind the club’s two worst seasons of the Premier League era.
Whilst the club have been looking to players like Parma Zion Suzuki, and Burnley’s James Trafford, it’s Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez and Botafogo’s John Victor who appears to be at the top of the club’s shortlist.

Now, The Red Devils will be looking to bring in a replacement with Onana suffering a major and unwanted setback.
The Telegraph has reported that Andre Onana has suffered a hamstring injury in pre-season training.
The injury unfortunately, has been sustained in United’s first week back at Carrington to prepare for the new season, with the Red Devils having only just returned from holiday on Monday.

It’s understood that prior to the summer break, Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff worked on personalised conditioning plans for each of his players who are set to feature this coming season.
Now, Amorim will be hoping this isn’t the start of yet another injury crisis at Old Trafford.
Thankfully the Portuguese manager still has Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton at his disposal to cover the Cameroon international, as well as promising academy stars Elyh Harrison, Dermot Mee and Radek Vitek who could be brought in if needed.
However, losing the club’s first choice keeper already is definitely a blow Amorim would have been hoping to have avoided going into his first full season in charge.
