European giants make Man Utd star 'number one transfer target' after Amorim training snub

Marcus Rashford is reportedly Juventus' top target who is expected to leave Manchester United this summer.

The Sun reports that Rashford is now at the top of Juve's shortlist and they are "accelerating plans to try and secure" him. He has been back at Carrington for individual training but has been snubbed by Ruben Amorim as a member of his squad's preparations for pre-season.

"Rashford arrived at United's Carrington training ground on Thursday at 4:47pm - eight minutes after manager Ruben Amorim had departed.'

The 27-year-old, who has been told to find a new club, spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after falling out with head coach Amorim. He publicly expressed his desire to try a new challenge and the Red Devils are trying to offload him on a permanent basis.

Juve rate Rashford "incredibly highly" and are eyeing him with three years left on his contract at Old Trafford. He reportedly earned £300,000 per week before moving on loan to Villa, which could be a potential issue regarding personal terms being agreed upon.

The Red Devils want to sell rather than loan but his wage demands could mean they accept another temporary exit. They want the matter resolved as soon as possible and the 62-cap England international also wants to ensure he's making regular appearances ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Juve face competition from Barcelona, and the Spanish giants are Rashford's preference, although the Catalans are yet to show an intention to meet United's £40m price tag. GIVEMESPORT sources understand that he is willing to wait for the La Liga champions to make a move but he feels it's the right time to leave Old Trafford permanently.

Rashford fared well on loan at Villa, managing four goals and six assists in 17 games under Unai Emery. The Villans decided not to trigger the one-year option in said loan deal after missing out on Champions League qualification.

The Englishman has been at United since his youth days, rising through the club's ranks before debuting at senior level aged 18 in 2016. He has since scored 138 goals, placing him 13th in the goalscoring rankings.
