Andre Onana is set to miss Manchester United's pre-season tour of the United States due to a hamstring injury.
The Cameroonian reportedly picked up the knock during training at Carrington this week and initial assessments suggest he could be out of action for 'six to eight weeks', as reported by The Telegraph.
This means he'll sit out the upcoming US tour and possibly the kick-off of the new Premier League season. United are slated to take on Arsenal in their season opener at Old Trafford on August 17.
In light of this blow, United now face the decision of whether to dip into the transfer market for a top-choice keeper. With reports suggesting Ruben Amorim is keen to bolster his goalkeeping squad this summer.

It's believed that the Portuguese boss, who will be watching United's first pre-season friendly against Leeds United in Stockholm next Saturday, is looking to bring in a goalie who can give Onana a run for his money for the No.1 spot, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Onana, who has already caught the eye of AS Monaco this summer, returned to Carrington for the start of pre-season training under the assumption that he would retain his position as the club's first-choice goalkeeper this summer.
Altay Bayindir is tipped to part ways with United in this transfer window following the club's decision to secure Tom Heaton on a fresh one-year contract last month. However, Onana's hamstring setback might stall Bayindir's swift exit.

United are spoilt for choice when it comes to keepers, as evidenced by Onana training alongside Bayindir, Heaton, Elyh Harrison, Dermot Mee and Radek Vitek at Carrington this week.
Vitek spent the previous season on loan at Austrian outfit BW Linz, clocking up 28 games and bagging seven clean sheets. He could now be in the running for a spot on the US tour.
United are set to play a trio of matches in the States, squaring off against West Ham United, Bournemouth and Everton in the Premier League Summer Series.
