Brighton man set for medical consultation on knee – Won’t be short of offers this summer

Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Julio Enciso is set to undergo a medical consultation on his knee before reporting to the club this summer.

That’s [according to Versus](https://x.com/SomosVersusPY/status/1944059822619455497), who also cover his transfer status, with the midfielder seemingly set to leave Brighton this summer.

He’s returning to Brighton from a loan spell at Ipswich Town in the second half of last season, where he was a regular when fit.

That deal was not made permanent after they were relegated back to the Championship, but Enciso has been linked with moves elsewhere, namely to Porto and Inter Milan, over the last few weeks.

That deal has been presented as almost complete in some quarter, but journalist Alvaro Aponte’s latest comments would suggest otherwise.

“He won’t be short of clubs; all that remains is to decide which league he’ll play in,” he is quoted as saying in a post from Versus on X.

Before any move can happen, though, it seems Enciso needs to undergo medical treatment ahead of pre-season.

The midfielder has been dealing with a knee injury since February, which saw him miss 19 days and four Ipswich games over the course of that month.

He’s also only a year out since returning from a meniscus tear suffered in August 2023 which saw him miss 184 days in total and 38 games for Brighton and Paraguay.

And Versus report that he’s now set for a medical consultation on his knee before reporting to Brighton for pre-season.

Whether that means they want an update on the situation or one of his suitors would like a closer look, isn’t clear. But the injury is clearly a problem and will be assessed further before any moves at Brighton or otherwise this summer.
