Former Arsenal star Sol Campbell is not hiding his feelings anymore on the club’s recent transfer dealings especially with respect to Chelsea players. Though not against Arsenal’s recent signings, Campbell says Arsenal fans deserve explanations for every actions of the club.
Campbell’s public roast comes in the hit of Arsenal potential signing of Noni Madueke from Chelsea. According to reports, a full agreement is close, with the deal expected to be worth around £50 million. However, not everyone is convinced that Madueke is the right fit for the Gunners.
Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has expressed his concerns about the new signing, stating that the club needs to explain their transfer decisions to the fans.
Speaking to the Metro, Campbell said, “I’ve seen him play, and he’s a very dynamic, keep-going kind of player that can cause problems when he gets into the final third.”

Campbell added, “I think most people are probably thinking, ‘Do we need him?’. He’s a quality player, but I think the club needs to explain why they’re getting certain players in and how it’s going to fit into our system. It’s important to explain that to the players and the fans.”
The 23-year-old winger has been a target for the Gunners for some time, and his impressive performances for Chelsea last season caught the attention of Mikel Arteta’s side. Madueke is primarily a right winger but can also play on the left, making him a potential competitor to Gabriel Martinelli and a backup for Bukayo Saka.

The transfer has sparked a mixed reaction among Arsenal fans, with some expressing their discontent online. An anti-Madueke petition has appeared online, and “Arteta out” graffiti has been spotted near the Emirates Stadium.
Despite the backlash, Madueke’s versatility and ability to cause problems in the final third could make him a valuable asset to Arsenal.
Madueke is part of Chelsea’s club world cup squad in the United States. The Blues will take on PSG in the final of the club world cup on Sunday with Noni Madueke likely to miss the cracker.
