Everton’s proposed move for Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers could fall apart.
The Toffees are in the market for a back-up goalkeeper after Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic departed at the end of their contracts.
Jordan Pickford is the undisputed number one at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and any new signing in the position would play second fiddle to the England star.

Travers’ move to Everton reaches a sticking point
Everton are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, but it will not be a simple endeavour because they will not get much game time.
Sky Sports Italy journalist Luca Bendoni (11 July) claimed that the Blues will have to convince Travers to join as he has not yet agreed to a move.

Everton will keep Pickford as number one
Any potential addition will have to be willing to be the number two, as Pickford is not going anywhere.
The former Sunderland man featured in all 38 of the Blues’ Premier League matches last season as his backups struggled to get action between the sticks.
That would likely be the case for Travers or any other stopper that comes through the door at Finch Farm, and it could put an end to the deal.
It remains to be seen whether they can convince the Cherries ace to make the move, despite his concerns.
They are legitimate worries, as he is 26 years old and will not want to warm the bench for the next few years and watch on while Pickford starts every week, wasting his career.
Ian Darke has suggested that Everton should target a veteran stopper who is near the end of their career, who would be happy to pick up the wages and not play.
It will be a tricky situation for David Moyes to solve, but one thing is for certain: he needs a new goalkeeper in his squad before the new season.
