Real Madrid’s search for reinforcements hasn’t slowed after a turbulent season and big-money arrivals.

While bolstering the defense remains a priority, reports suggest Madrid are also considering an ambitious move for one of Liverpool’s most important midfielders.

According to COPE, Real Madrid wants to sign Mac Allister but won’t meet Liverpool’s €100 million valuation.
The Argentina international only joined the Reds in 2023 after a standout stint at Brighton and has since become an integral part of Arne Slot’s plans.
Madrid scouts have long admired Mac Allister’s intelligence and composure, with his performances at Brighton and in the World Cup placing him on their radar.
His name reportedly gained renewed prominence inside the Bernabeu offices after the Club World Cup concluded, as the club continues to look for Luka Modric’s successor.
However, the financial picture is complicated. Real Madrid has already spent over €175 million this summer and will need to sell before committing to another major outlay.
One possibility involves moving Rodrygo, who has lost prominence since Kylian Mbappe arrived.
Should Madrid recoup close to €100 million for the Brazilian, a path could open to pursue Mac Allister more seriously.
Meanwhile, the club is still evaluating whether to push ahead with an offer for Konate, who could be available on a free transfer next summer.
For now, Liverpool holds a strong position over Mac Allister’s future, with no indication they are prepared to negotiate below their valuation.
