Manchester United and the Manchester United academy are preparing for the 2025-26 season as they look to improve in all aspects from an on-field perspective.
This involves several pre-season games to “gel” the players together and to make sure that when it comes to the season, the Red Devils are able to put out their best side to give themselves the best chance of success.
One area of the club which is preparing for the upcoming season is the Manchester United academy.
The academy has been a focal point of the club for a long period of time with legends such as Paul Scholes, Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho all coming through the system on their way up to the Manchester United first team.

However, even as we reflect on the names that have come through the United academy, there are new faces who we may have never heard of who are battling to mirror the legends of the past and present.
For them, the 2025-26 season could be crucial.

Today, Manchester United’s under-18s side took part in a pre-season friendly against QPR. The United side were able to win by a huge margin with the score being 8-2 to the young Red Devils.
The under-18s played two starting elevens for each of the halves to give players the time to prove themselves. In the second half, Jacey Carrick – the son of Manchester United legend Michael Carrick – made his debut at under-18s level.
This follows Carrick’s involvement in pre-season training with the under-18s side earlier this week.
Jacey Carrick will now be looking to prove himself at this level and continue his journey through the academy and up to the first-team.
As for the team in general, they will be looking to continue their good form in the remainder of this summer’s pre-season fixtures and will be looking to carry good form into the 2025-26 season.
Full time score: 8-2 United.
Second half goals scored by:
