A lot of Leeds United fans have complained about the club’s transfer business this summer. First, it was about the deals moving slowly, and now the complaints are about not spending enough.
But looking at the moves critically, the recruitment team have done a wonderful job in the transfer market. There are still weeks to go, but some areas of the team have been addressed properly.

Adding an experienced option up top in Lukas Nmecha means that Joel Piroe will not have too much workload on his shoulders like last season. The Dutchman ran out of gas due to fatigue in certain games.
Defence will play a big part if Leeds are to survive in the Premier League. Adding two top quality defenders in Bijol and Bornauw will only bolster an already solid unit. Gabriel Gudmundsson arrives as a much needed replacement for the departed Junior Firpo.

Leeds United and their finances so far
Leeds have signed four players in this transfer window. But the club have only splashed £30million; the club have focused on deals that are ”value for money” instead of splashing the cash.
The Whites signed Lukas Nmecha on a free, got Jaka Bijol for around £15million, Bornauw for £5million and Gudmundsson was brought in for a £10million fee.
PSR could mean Pascal Struijk could be sold

Speaking on the Inside Elland Road podcast, Graham Smyth and Joe Donnohue discussed Leeds finances and if PSR could mean one key player is sold.
Donnohue said: “The defence is looking in good shape. I wouldn’t rule out another arrival, because there’s so much more of the window to go. They might decide that they need a little bit more cover.”
Smyth added: “I would like to see a little bit more defensively. And, obviously, a goalkeeper. That’s a hugely, hugely important part of the puzzle.
“But happy enough with the defensive core, as it stands. Still wondering if Pascal might be one that goes this summer.
“Just because we know they need a sale or two — and because he represents pure profit. But happy enough for now.”
Can Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw replace the club captain?
No one has in-depth knowledge of the club’s current plans, but it raised eye brows when Jaka Bijol arrived at the club. Now, it might make sense why – Struijk could be the one to leave.

If that is the club’s plan then they did a decent job. Bijol will have to adapt to Struijk’s role which involved a lot of ball progression from deep areas, his ability on the ball will really be put to the test in the Premier League.
