Newcastle United got their pre-season preparations underway with a convincing 4-0 win against Carlisle United at the Newcastle United training centre on Saturday afternoon.
The match took place behind closed doors, with fans only finding out about it after the fact.
Both sides fielded two separate XIs in each half as Newcastle romped home to a 4-0 victory with a welcome return to goalscoring form for a fan favourite.
Joelinton made a return to the side and got himself on the scoresheet as the Magpies hit four goals with four different scorers.

Celtic are next up for Eddie Howe's boys
Next Saturday, Eddie Howe's boys head north of the border to take on Scottish Premier League champions Celtic at Celtic Park and will be hoping to come up with a similar result again.
It may be too soon, but we really hope that Anthony Elanga is involved in some way next week so we can get our first glimpse of him in action.
If you're not attending the game, it will be available to stream via the official site for a fee.
