Andy Reid has made his mark on the NFL as one of the greatest coaches the league has ever seen.
Reid took over the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013 and has led them to three Super Bowl titles, building a dynasty with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes at the helm. The Los Angeles, California native has made it to the Super Bowl six times between his tenure with the Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
The 67-year-old is currently the third longest-tenured head coach in the NFL, behind Mike Tomlin (Pittsburgh Steelers, 18 years) and John Harbaugh (Baltimore Raves, 17 years).

In 2024, when asked who he believes is the best head coach he's faced in the NFL, Reid hesitated between two of the greatest to ever do the job: Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick.
"Those are two great coaches (Carroll and Belichick)," Reid said about his rivals. "I don’t know if they’re done coaching or not, at their particular spots, but great coaches, phenomenal coaches.”
But in Reid's mind, one of them sticks out as the GOAT of NFL head coaches.
"Bill’s the best I’ve ever gone against."
Belichick is one of the few NFL head coaches to have bragging rights over Reid, having gotten the upper hand over the Chiefs skipper in their meetings over the years.

Pete Carroll, meanwhile, emerged as one of the most respected head coaches in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks between 2010 and 2023. Carroll led the Seahawks to a Super Bowl title in 2013, and made it back to the final the next season, losing to Belichick and his Patriots.
The 73-year-old is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, and has spent time with the New York Jets and Patriots throughout his 18-year NFL coaching career.

Won a record 6 Super Bowls
Bill Belichick is recognized as one of the greatest NFL coaches of all-time after winning a staggering six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots between 2001 and 2018.
Belichick was hired by the Patriots in 2000 after a few unremarkable seasons leading the Cleveland Browns. After a difficult first year in New England (5-11 record), Belichick and the Patriots were rejuvenated with the emergence of Tom Brady, who took over at quarterback midway through the 2001 season and led the Pats all the way to their first ever Super Bowl championship.

Between 2001 and Brady's departure in 2019, the Patriots never lost more than seven games in a single regular season, making the playoffs in all but one season (2008) and even going a perfect 16-0 in 2007.
Belichick is third all-time in the NFL for wins as a head coach (302), and holds the record for most playoff wins (31). He also owns the records for most Super Bowl appearances (9) and most Super Bowl wins (6).
In December 2024, Belichick was named the head football coach of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, marking the first time he has coached at the college level.
