Leeds United have a whole host of celebrity supporters.

Luke Humphries, the darts player, is one of the most relevant at the moment, for his high-profile feud with Luke Littler at the top of the sport.

Another is women’s boxing star Katie Taylor, who supports the Yorkshire outfit despite hailing from Ireland.

They will get to watch their beloved Whites in the Premier League next season after Daniel Farke’s side secured promotion.

Leeds send Taylor message after Serrano victory

The Irish boxer is a supporter of the Elland Road outfit as her family all support the Whites, and her dad was raised in the city.

The 39-year-old defeated rival Amanda Serrano in their trilogy fight at Madison Square Garden (12 July) to go three up in the series, to defend her status as the undisputed super-lightweight champion.

The Peacocks sent a congratulations message to Taylor across their social media outlets after her huge victory against the Puerto Rican.

Taylor will hope Leeds can match her success

Taylor will go down as one of the greatest of all time after her latest exploits, and she will hope that Leeds will have similar success shortly.

The Whites will have to invest in the squad if they are to achieve the first part of that goal, to stay in the top-flight after a two-year absence.

Humphries has called on the ownership to spend this summer to bring in top-quality additions so that they can do just that.

They need signings despite already adding the likes of Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lukas Nmecha and Gabriel Gudmundsson into the mix.

Player Fee

Jaka Bijol £15m

Sebastiaan Bornauw £5m

Lukas Nmecha Free

Gabriel Gudmundsson £10m

Leeds’ signings so far.

It will be a very exciting summer for Taylor and her fellow supporters as the 49ers Enterprises group looks to back Farke in the transfer window to try and keep their place at the top table.

Everything seems to be going the right way for everybody associated with the Yorkshire outfit at the moment, and they will hope that will continue for a long time.

If the ownership and Farke get it wrong, it could be disastrous, with the Whites back in the second tier, but nobody is entertaining that outcome right now.
