Ruben Amorim might want a more stable presence capable of leading the backline and the Italian shot-stopper is a good shout.
The 24‑year‑old shot‑stopper featured in 44 games last term, keeping 18 clean sheets (13 in Serie A, five in the Champions League), showcasing impressive consistency and calm under pressure. He is also good with the ball at his feet and has the quality to play for a top club like Man Utd.

Atalanta are reportedly looking for around £38–43 million for Carnesecchi, while United are believed to be weighing up an opening offer closer to £34.6m, likely with performance add-ons. The 25-year-old’s performances offer a lot of hope for his future, potentially at Man Utd.
Man Utd might be seeing Carnesecchi as a long-term solution. His command of area, distribution, and maturity highlight him as a modern keeper ideally suited to Ruben Amorim’s possession-based system. However, the Red Devils might have to move on Onana to make space for the 25-year-old.
