New 'Superman' Is A Philadelphia Native Done With Eagles Jinxes

Life is good for the Philadelphia Eagles and their fans. They destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, have a Super Bowl MVP at quarterback, are favorites to repeat in 2025-26, and even got the Tush Push to stick around for another year.

That is just the tip of the iceberg, though. ... from a celebrity-lovin' standpoint, anyway.

Outside of the joys of fielding a Super Bowl-winning team, the Eagles have also gained some new pub regarding fans on the entertainment front. The latest? "Superman'' breakout star David Corenswet.

The new "Superman'' actor sat down with Nicholas Hoult for a Vanity Fair lie detector test and detailed how happy he was when the Eagles won the Super Bowl in February.

"I watched the Super Bowl," Corenswet said. "It was a great — it was an amazing game to watch, considering it was such a blowout. Usually, I don't like a blowout."

Corenswet, a 34-year-old Philly native, had previously joked that he no longer watched the Eagles because he believed the team lost via jinx every time he watched them.

The fact that the new Superman is an Eagles fan is fun and great news for the fan base as Corenswet joins other stars like Anne Hathaway and Bradley Cooper as Eagles fans who openly celebrated the team's Super Bowl win.

And in the end, who wouldn't want "Superman'' on their side?
