Manchester United have shown interest in Moise Kean, with a rapidly approaching deadline on his £45m release clause forcing the club to decide on their pursuit.
In what has been an active start to the window at Old Trafford, United remain in talks to sign Bryan Mbeumo after already completing a deal to bring in Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
However, an out-and-out striker is still being considered by Ruben Amorim to support Rasmus Hojlund, with United showing interest in Kean as one of the options.
Kean has a £45m release clause in his Fiorentina contract which has tempted United into a move, but there is a hard deadline etched into this clause that means the Red Devils would have to act fast should they want to secure the Italian.

Manchester United’s position on a move for Moise Kean
According to Calciomercato, Kean’s £45m release clause will expire on the 15th of July, with Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal actively interested in the United target.
TBR Football’s transfer correspondent, Graeme Bailey, understands that Kean is of interest to Al-Hilal, who also refuse to give up on their pursuit of Victor Osimhen.
United have also been offered Kean and are understood to be on their radar, but a move to trigger the release clause before the deadline is highly unlikely.
Kean finally began to make good on his potential last season, scoring 25 goals for Fiorentina in his most productive campaign at 25 years old.
This would suggest that he would be in a better position to tackle the Premier League than he was back when signing for Everton in 2019, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the United recruitment team have evidently chosen to prioritise other financial commitments ahead of signing Kean.
Manchester United must secure Bryan Mbuemo before a striker
There remains a plan for a mass exodus at Old Trafford, with TBR Football understanding that Barcelona remain interested in Marcus Rashford as attacking talents are shown the door.
Alejandro Garnacho could reunite with Erik ten Hag at Bayer Leverkusen as well, ideally freeing up funds to further add to Amorim’s plans for a new-look side.
In the meantime, though, United’s pursuit of Mbeumo must remain the priority in terms of incomings, with someone like Kean a less crucial deal to make.
TBR football sources revealed that Brentford fully expect Mbeumo to leave this summer, so a deal remains more than achievable for United. If the likes of Rashford and Garnacho are moved on, perhaps a deal for Kean could be relooked at, but securing Mbeumo is the most important task.
