Man United have few cards to play when it comes to this pending Old Trafford exit.

Manchester United continue to look for suitors for those expected to leave this summer as part of a significant squad overhaul.

The Red Devils are planning some major changes after a bleak season in the Premier League saw them finish 15th in the table. With just 42 points on the board, United stamped their lowest points tally of the Premier League era, finishing closer to the relegation zone than the Champions League qualification spots.

After struggling with their creativity in front of goal, United have made the bulk of their senior players available for transfer this summer. The likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho have already voiced their desires to leave, while Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have failed to make a lasting impression on Ruben Amorim.

Man United could be faced with mega £60m loss

Now, reports are ramping up over his potential move to Italy, with Juventus the front-runners in the race. However, based on the latest reports, United stand to record a significant loss through the expected sale of Sancho.

According to Sky Sport Italy, Juventus are keeping the talks over a Sancho move alive and he could well make the move to Turin, providing the Italian powerhouses offload two of their own wingers to make room.

The report claims that on Saturday, ‘new contacts’ were made between United and Juventus over a potential deal. Juve have reportedly tabled an offer of €10 million (£8.6m) plus €5 million (£4.3m) in added bonuses, as claimed by Gianluca Di Marzio. Negotiations are ‘ongoing’ between the two clubs as they look to settle on an appropriate fee.

Man United splashed big money on Jadon Sancho

The combined fee and bonuses would see United receive just shy of £13 million, if they were to accept this current offer from Juventus. That’s a staggering loss to take a hit with.

United forked out £73 million to bring Sancho to Old Trafford back in 2021. The move followed intense interest from around the world, with multiple Premier League clubs eager to win the race for his signature.

Having contributed 16 goals and 20 assists in his final season for Borussia Dortmund, United fans were adamant they were getting a real force to be reckoned with. However, his time in Manchester never did match up to the show-stopping performances he put in week in, week out in Germany.

If United do accept the £13 million offer, they will have recorded a hefty £60 million loss on Sancho since his arrival. However, based on their struggles to find him a permanent move away so far, this may be as close as they’re going to get as far as guaranteed cash goes. Especially as his contract is due to expire next summer, this is likely the last time United will be able to cash in before clubs start to consider moving for him as a free agent.
