Liverpool are being linked with summer transfer moves for Newcastle United duo Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon.
That hasn’t stopped the vultures lurking around the club’s most sought-after talents. Tino Livramento is admired by Manchester City, but will not be allowed to leave, while Alexander Isak’s name has switched from lips of Arsenal fans, to those of Liverpool.
Liverpool have been linked with a £100m move for Anthony Gordon in recent weeks, with Newcastle thought to be keen to hang on to all of their key players for next season, the Reds can expect reluctant sellers, should they come knocking.
NUFC transfers: WE broke Gordon to Liverpool resurfacing
On May 17 we broke the news that should Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez depart Arne Slot’s men would move for Gordon. Our piece - which can be found here - read: “Liverpool look set to revisit a deal for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon - after a transfer failed to materialise last summer. However, the Reds are likely to be meet very reluctant sellers with any approach, with the Magpies’ PSR issues a thing of the past.”
It continued: “NewcastleWorld understands Arne Slot remains a big fan of the player and sees Gordon as the perfect fit in his summer post-title win rebuild, which is likely to see the exit of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz.”
