Hello and welcome back to the Manchester United transfer blog on Sunday, July 13.
We are now less than a week out from United returning to the pitch as they seek to put right the wrongs from last season in the Premier League. As we edge ever closer to the serious stuff beginning in mid-August, United will be hoping to complete some more business in the next couple of weeks to stand them in better stead.
Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres has been heavily linked with a move to United this summer but that opportunity had looked to be fizzling out when Arsenal increased their interest. However, negotiations have hit a wall with United potentially in a position to capitalise.
Andre Onana's hamstring injury has thrust the goalkeeper conversation back to the forefront this weekend. Botafogo's John Victor has been named as a potential target for the Reds to strengthen that position.
Finally, overarching all of this is the talk surrounding Bryan Mbeumo and the continued negotiations with Brentford. As of yet, the Reds have still been unable to reach an agreement with the Bees over his signature.
Keep across all this and more from United in our dedicated blog below...
