Man United are set to undergo a squad rebuild this summer, with AI suggesting they will sign four more players.

Man United are desperate need of improvement to their squad this summer, with Ruben Amorim keen to sell and buy to produce a team capable of succeeding in his 3-4-3 formation in the Premier League.

Without the pull of Champions League football, it could be tough for United to persuade top players to join, however, the pull of playing for Manchester United and playing at old Trafford remains very powerful, despite a 15th-place finish in the Premier League last year.

Man United earn £170m plus in player sales

Looking at outgoings, AI has predicted that five players will leave United permanently this summer, with four of the five United players who were told to find a new club leaving for significant transfer fees.

Jadon Sancho looks set to join Serie A giants Juventus, and AI believes it too, with the Red Devils getting £25m for the winger. Antony is also expected to leave after his successful loan spell at Real Betis. It predicted that Man United would manage to get £32.5m for the Brazilian winger.

Finally, Casemiro has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League, and AI does believe that this will happen, he is expected to command a fee of around £15m, taking United’s total windfall from these five sales up to £172.5m, but who could they spend that on?

Man United add £70m Palace star and Gyokeres up front

In terms of signings, AI thinks that Man United will spend a total of £205m on four new names in the remainder of the summer window. The first one is an obvious choice, with Bryan Mbeumo joining from Brentford for around £60m. It is understood that the Bees would like £65m.

Secondly, United finally address their striker issues by signing Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP. He has been in talks over a move to Arsenal, but AI thinks that United will swoop in and sign the Swedish international, and reunite him with Amorim.

AI also predicted that Man United would sign a replacement for goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is expected to stay this summer. It suggested that they would pay £20m to sign Royal Antwerp stopper Senne Lammens. Last year, the 23-year-old made 44 appearances for the Belgian club, conceding 56 goals, and providing 10 assists.

Finally, in somewhat of a blockbuster move, AI also predicts that United sign Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton to replace the potentially departing Casemiro. It said that United would pay a hefty £70m fee to sign the English midfielder, who both Manchester clubs have been linked with.
