Mark Travers is a potential option for Everton as they look to strengthen their goalkeeping department this summer.
David Moyes’ side recently lost both Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia upon the conclusion of their contracts, meaning they now need to add greater depth to provide competition for Jordan Pickford.
Everton have earmarked Travers as a potential candidate, and it is thought that the Irishman could be allowed to leave Bournemouth if they can sign a replacement.
The 26-year-old made five appearances for the Cherries in the first half of the 2024/25 campaign, before he was loaned to Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.

Bournemouth would be willing to sell Travers for £7m
Everton are now in talks over a potential move for Travers, as Djordje Petrovic’s move to the South Coast seems destined to spark something of a merry-go-round of Premier League shot stoppers.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
Those discussions have been complicated by the fact that the ‘keeper is hopeful of securing a starting spot next term, and that is something that the Toffees are unlikely to be able to provide.
Nevertheless, the L5 outfit will know that they desperately need to add cover for Pickford, which will surely see them hugely keen to ensure a swift conclusion to the talks.
Ex-Goodison scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes that Bournemouth would be happy to sell Travers if they received a bid of £7million from their Premier League rivals.
“I think Travers would cost £7m,” King said.
“That’s the fee which I think Bournemouth would accept to sell him. This would be a good signing for Everton. They’ve let a couple of goalkeepers go already since the end of the season.
“They definitely need some cover for Pickford, and Travers sounds like he could do the job. They also won’t want to spend big money on a number two, so this could be a good move.”

Travers seems a more likely option than Michael Cooper
Everton have also shown an interest in Michael Cooper from Sheffield United in their bid to bolster their options between the posts.
That 25-year-old enjoyed an excellent season in South Yorkshire and has now firmly established himself as one of the brightest young prospects in the Football League.
Moyes and Co. seem willing to potentially pay £5m for Cooper, but it is unlikely that the former Plymouth Argyle gloveman would be willing to move without a guaranteed starting spot, such is the level of development he has made in recent seasons.
With that in mind, Travers surely seems a more likely option. He may not be willing to be a second choice at this moment in time, but he does at least have experience of being a Premier League number two and needing to make the most of his opportunities in the cups.
If Everton can make Bournemouth an offer they can’t refuse, then they would surely be able to convince Travers to make the switch.
