VanVleet steps into the role with guidance from CJ McCollum, who served on the Executive Committee for seven years—three as Vice President (2018–2021) and four as President (2021–2025).

A nine-year NBA veteran, VanVleet began his professional career undrafted in 2016.
He worked his way up through the G League and became a key piece of the 2019 NBA Champion Toronto Raptors. He was named an NBA All-Star in 2022.
Off the court, VanVleet is known for his strong commitment to philanthropy and advocacy.
