Toffolo, 29, is a free agent and will be weighing up his options. West Brom have been linked with him recently, as per EFL Analysis.

In this latest update regarding his situation, reporter Nixon has claimed on Patreon that the Foxes are admirers. They slipped out of the top flight last season along with Ipswich Town and Southampton.

After joining Nottingham Forest back in 2022, Toffolo told their website: “I’m extremely delighted to be here, to be able to join a football club with this much stature is fantastic and to have the opportunity to play in the Premier League is something I couldn’t turn down.

“I’m excited, really looking forward to meeting the lads and we want to push forward in this division. We’ll push each other every day and we’ve got a fantastic squad being put together. I’m a player who wears his heart on his sleeve and I’m someone that will fight for the badge and for the team every single minute.”

Leicester City target Harry Toffolo move

Leicester City could see Toffolo as someone to boost their defensive department. If he joined them, he would give LCFC more competition and depth at the back.

The defender signed for Nottingham Forest three years ago after their promotion to the top flight under their former manager Steve Cooper. He went on to make 57 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.

He found game time hard to come by in the last campaign under Nuno Espirito Santo, hence his recent exit. The ex-England youth international will now be considering his options and is wanted at the King Power Stadium.

What now for Leicester City and Harry Toffolo?

Leicester City will be eyeing an immediate promotion back from the second tier next term. LCFC are close to naming ex-QPR man Marti Cifuentes as their new boss.

Time will tell whether they lodge an offer for Toffolo. He started his career at Norwich City and rose up through their academy ranks. He was a regular for the Canaries at various different youth levels before playing three times for their first-team.

The Hertfordshire-born man was loaned out to Swindon Town, Rotherham United, Swindon Town and Doncaster Rovers during his Carrow Road days. He then embarked on permanent spells at Millwall, Lincoln City and Huddersfield Town before Nottingham Forest came calling.
