In the case of Vanja Milinković-Savić, what Leeds United fans hoping for the transfer need to be aware is that they’re just the latest in an ever growing line of clubs to be linked with the Torino player.
Manchester United, one of the player’s former clubs, have been linked repeatedly, along with a handful of others from the Premier League. There’s also been a group of Serie A clubs popping up continually, with a new favourite every few days or so.
As this all goes on, the goalkeeper appears to have been quite calm. Happy to stay at Torino if that’s what transpires, but also happy to look at any opportunities which come his way.
That’s perhaps not the best news for Leeds United’s chances, and the hesitation appears to be a desire for something a bit bigger and the opportunity to play Champions League football.
Such dithering may have helped, with Napoli now returning to the picture.

They’ve returned to Vanja Milinković-Savić . I remember that the goalkeeper has a release clause of around €19m for Italy, a little more for abroad (it should be £19m). Leeds have been following him for some time, but he doesn’t want to make hasty decisions._
