Liverpool aren’t ‘budging an inch’ – Transfer frustration could be on the way

On Friday, Corriere dello Sport stated Liverpool want €60m for Darwin Núñez while Napoli are offering €50m plus €5m bonuses. They also reported the striker wants €6m per year, which is €1m short of the deal proposed.

Antonio Conte and the Naples club’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, both have the 26-year-old on top of their list.

The Serie A winners are in a rush to secure the Liverpool player’s services but are facing obstacles from both him and the Reds.

Corriere dello Sport report Liverpool are standing firm with their €60m demand and ‘aren’t budging an inch’.

In addition to the transfer fee, the Italian club will have to agree personal terms with the former Benfica man. He currently earns €5.5m and is demanding €6m, while Napoli are offering slightly less [an earlier report stated €5m].

The newspaper states Manna met the Uruguay international’s agent, Fali Ramadani, and a new meeting is scheduled with him on Monday.

According to Corriere, it will take time for Napoli to find agreement with Liverpool and the player.

They state: ‘…an acceleration from England is urgently needed, otherwise the track will crumble.’

Núñez doesn’t seem to be part of Slot’s plans next season. If Liverpool continue to remain firm, his move to Napoli could collapse.
