Juventus have Tottenham Hotspur’s Yves Bissouma in their target list for this summer.
That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, and they cover the 28-year-old when discussing Juve’s plan to reshape their midfield.
Juventus general manager Damien Comolli is working on offloading Douglas Luiz as part of his plans to reshape his side’s midfield. As well as the Tottenham player, they are also looking at Bayer Leverkusen’s Granit Xhaka and Wolverhampton Wanderers’ André.
The 32-year-old’s leadership qualities and experience pleases the Old Lady and his expected price of €13-15m would also be within their reach. The report states they aren’t alone as Xhaka is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia.
Therefore, Comolli is working on other options, including that of Bissouma. He’s entered his final year of contract and Juventus have ‘registered Spurs’ openness’ to sell the Mali international this summer.
Comolli previously worked at the north London club between 2005 and 2008 as their head of football operations and has a ‘direct relationship’ with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Gazzetta report the Italian club wouldn’t want to offer more than €15m for Bissouma. At this moment in time, they haven’t yet found an agreement with Tottenham on his price.
It feels like Juve are aiming for a discount, which Comolli hopes to secure using his good ties with Levy. The Mali international will take the non-EU slot, something that the Italian club have to take into account, before making further advances.
