Nelson Semedo is a free agent after his contract at Wolves expired, and his latest Instagram post feels ominous.
The star has technically brought his time at Wolves to an end after five years.
But Wolves presented a four-year contract offer to Semedo at the end of the season – and that offer is thought to remain on the table.
Ultimately, Wolves do not want to lose Nelson Semedo.
He has established himself as a key player, and is someone who stepped up brilliantly into the role of captain in the second half of 2024/25.
There has been faint hope that he will still extend. But Molineux News was informed recently that Wolves feel Semedo is more likely to join a club overseas.
The Wolves squad is now back together in Portugal for a training camp.
Semedo, being a free agent, is not with the group of course – and a post he made yesterday may suggest fans need to prepare for that exit video dropping.

The uncertainty over Semedo has started to frustrate some supporters.
Some fans believe Semedo has been disrespectful by taking so long to communicate a decision over his future.
It is not ideal, because Wolves need to know if they can prepare for the new season with Semedo or not.
The club have been looking at new right-backs in the meantime, with Jackson Tchatchoua of interest to Wolves.
Jeremy Toljan has also been linked with Wolves.
But while Semedo has not officially decided his future, fans will still hope there’s a chance he extends.

But his post on Instagram yesterday may further point to an exit.
As the Wolves players were being put through their paces at their training camp, Semedo had been training alone.
An Instagram Story post from the player shows him doing some running in a pitch, possibly in Portugal.
The post was made by another person (@cesar_kc) who was with Semedo on the pitch, and reposted by the player.
Nelson Semedo’s post feels ominous
If Semedo had any intention of signing that new contract extension offer from Wolves, he would surely have done so by now.
The fact he has shown himself to be training alone may well be ominous. It is certainly not the best look if there is any possibility he could sign the extension
After posting this, it is even harder to see him returning to the group. At this point, it would certainly be strange for him to rock up much later than everyone else.
With everyone now back, Wolves ought to withdraw their offer for Semedo.
Because the club don’t want a situation whereby Semedo only comes back because he couldn’t facilitate a move to another club, with Wolves essentially not being his first-choice.
Vitor Pereira also cannot be wasting time waiting, when a replacement could be brought in sooner rather than later.
