Nottingham Forest need to crank up their recruitment drive with things getting off to a turbulent start this summer.
Anthony Elanga has signed for Newcastle, whilst Morgan Gibbs-White looks like signing for Tottenham in the coming days, with a release clause now seemingly in his contract.
Igor Jesus has signed for Forest but the departure of two influential players leaves the team extremely short when it comes to the final third of the pitch.
Forest have a number of targets in mind and it would appear that it’s not just in the final third where the club hopes to add new players to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

Nottingham Forest rejected by Ardon Jashari
According to Fabrizio Romano, Forest and West Ham have both made offers for Jashari who is valued at £32 million but the player is holding out for a move to AC Milan.
He told Milan News: “Among Milan’s targets remains Ardon Jashari, who continues to reject all other offers that come his way, such as one from West Ham.
“Another Premier League club has also made an offer to the Swiss player in recent days, namely Nottingham Forest. These are very generous offers for the player but at the moment he is turning them all down because he only wants Milan.”
The Premier League isn’t a league that Jashari is hellbent on playing in and ultimately, the Club Brugge player is keen to move to Italy instead.
MORE FOREST STORIES
The 22-year-old is very much viewed as one of Europe’s brightest young talents in midfield and it’s no surprise that Forest and West Ham tried to sign him.
Jashari has played four times for Switzerland and last season he scored four times and claimed six assists from his 52 appearances in all competitions.
Forest have to get realistic with transfer targets
Jashari is a quality midfielder but Forest were never realistically going to rival Milan for a player’s signature, even if they’re not in Europe next season.
Forest must start identifying targets who they know will be keen on coming to the club this summer and not chasing stellar players who will probably have a number of different clubs chasing them.
Jashari will enjoy a very fruitful career at Milan and it’s a shame that Forest haven’t been able to land the central midfielder for the engine room at the City Ground.
Forest fans are craving new players and hopefully the recruitment drive can really get going in the next couple of weeks.
