Manchester United are in talks to sign two promising young midfielders this summer.

Fulham youngster Seth Ridgeon, who captains England Under-17s, has attracted interest from United.

Tyrese Noubissie is set to depart Manchester City and could switch allegiances in Manchester.

Ridgeon is regarded as one of the country's most exciting young attacking midfielders and his future at Craven Cottage is uncertain, which has placed United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool on alert.

Noubissie, a central midfielder, could be lured to Carrington by the promise of a clear pathway to the first-team, and United are hopeful of adding both young talents to their academy.

United are always on the lookout for the best young talent to add to their youth ranks. Brexit impacted which youngsters they can sign, which means recruiting players from within Britain has become common.

Nick Cox (head of the academy) and Luke Fedorenko (head of academy recruitment) have overseen the academy recruitment drive and play a crucial role in youth transfers, which can be delicate.

United have already sealed the signing of Harley Emsden-James, 16, from Southampton this summer.

The young defender has played for England at youth level and will join United's academy. Southampton will receive compensation and Jason Wilcox has also played an important role in the move.
