**West Ham are set to return with an improved bid for El Hadji Malick Diouf, it has been reported by ExWHUEmployee.**
It has been a slow transfer window thus far in east London, with only Daniel Cummings from Celtic joining and Jean Clair-Todibo making his move to the club permanent. However, now the sale of Mohammed Kudus has been completed, it is felt things are set to ramp up in terms of transfer activity.
Reporting on The West Ham Way Patreon, club insider ExWHUEmployee has provided an update on the clubs pursuit of Slavia Prague left-wing-back El Hadji Malick Diouf, with negotiations set to continue.
“West Ham continue to negotiate a number of deals to bring in new additions,” stated Ex. “It is thought that we will go back to Sparta Prague in the coming days to try and get a bid for El Hadji Malick Diouf accepted.
“The Sparta chairman has spoken of his frustration at the deal not already being sorted which gives West Ham the confidence that they want to get the move done. The clubs are not said to be too far away in valuations with the Czechia side expecting around £20m. There will hopefully be some movement either way next week but really need West Ham to just put in an acceptable bid.
“Top club officials have been keen to stress that Diouf offers a lot of pace which is felt is needed in our squad.”
“West Ham have made it clear they want to sign at least a left back, a goalkeeper and a midfielder at a minimum with other positions expected to have new recruits too – including forwards.”
Ex also confirmed the clubs interest in Liverpool duo Harvey Elliot and Tyler Morton, although no official move has taken place as of yet.
“We can confirm that club have expressed interest in two Liverpool players as well,” added Ex. “Harvey Elliot and Tyler Morton although at the moment no offer has been submitted.”
